It has been some time since I posted an in-depth look at my fractal art, so for any of you who miss those kinds of posts, there is good news here:
I have been invited, by an organization called Scientifically Speaking, to be a guest speaker for a “lunch and learn” type live webinar, to share my personal artistic perspective on fractal geometry. They are a fairly new organization based in the U.K., and so here in eastern North America, if you wanted to join, it would be more of a breakfast time occasion. Elsewhere in the world I will let you figure out the time! They plan to hold these webinars monthly, and I just happen to be first on the list. Their Instagram page is scispeak_global.
During the talk, I will be featuring some creations that I have never shown before, as well as many old favourites. I hope to make it as interesting as I can and offer something unique. Putting it all together has been a great way to revisit some treasured pieces, re-learn some background, and pull together my thoughts about fractal geometry into a cohesive whole.
If you would like to join the webinar, it is necessary to “buy tickets” (but they are free) and you can do this up until an hour prior to the talk. It takes place on March 28, a Thursday, at noon GMT – which is 8 a.m. here in the Eastern Standard Time zone as we have switched to Daylight Savings Time. The talk will be approximately 25 minutes, with a question and discussion period after, for a total time of one hour.
